James Schramko here, out and about. And this morning, I had a coaching call and one of the questions was, Hey, I’m juggling a lot of balls and seem to be dropping some. So how do I get more organized?
Well, the first thing to do if you’re juggling a lot of balls is, get rid of some balls. Not all the balls are equal. So assess all the things you’re doing and identify which ones you can actually remove. Then once you’ve got the balls that have to be done, see who else can actually juggle them for you. And then you create space for the things that need to be done. So that’s about putting a routine in your schedule, block out time for the projects to be done if they have to be done by you, and only work on a couple of these at the same time.
Hopefully, this gets you the first stage of organization. There are other stages beyond that which I teach, but this might get you the first step. So just a quick recap. Remove some of the balls you’re trying to juggle. Once you know the balls you got left, see if someone else can do them for you. And then when you have to do the juggling yourself, block the time so that they get done.
